I'm in the same situation. I've learned that before sex can be fulfilling for both partners, there must be a strong underlying psychological attraction.
For guys it's easy. We're stimulated by sight. Our partner can simply walk across the room…we look at her and are instantly ready for action.
Females need to be emotionally attracted first. They take longer to "warm up." You must build "sexual tension" in order to get her to a state of mind where she WANTS to have sex.
Of course, I assumed you were a guy, talking about your girl. If you're a girl talking about your guy…can I have your phone number? HEY…it's a joke!

Which sex are you? And your partner? The mechanical aspect comes from indifference. If that is your situation then you will soon be with someone else. Unless both of you are young and inexperienced. Then it is because of inexperience.
